The Science of the Sacred: Bridging Global Indigenous Medicine Systems and Modern Scientific Principles

NWT-born and raised Dr. Nicole Redvers has published a new book titled "The Science of the Sacred: Bridging Global Indigenous Medicine Systems and Modern Scientific Principles."

Dr. Redvers is a Yellowknife-based naturopathic doctor and co-founder of the Arctic Indigenous Wellness Foundation from the Deninu K'ue First Nation. Her book delves into how modern medical science has finally caught up to what traditional healing methods and systems have known for centuries.

From her bio:

"Dr. Nicole Redvers, ND, was born and raised in the NWT, and therefore has a very personal passion in giving northerners options in healthcare service. Her Indigenous background motivates her to help bridge the gap between modern advances in medical science and more traditional forms of healing.

Dr. Redvers is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON, as well as a graduate from the University of Lethbridge, where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree with pre-medical requirements. She is currently doing a Masters of Public Health (MPH) at The Dartmouth Institute For Health Policy & Clinical Practice through the Geisel School of Medicine in Hanover, NH. She is a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors as well as the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia where she is licensed."
