Tthets’éhk’ehdélį First Nation
The Tthets’éhk’ehdélį First Nation is based in Jean Marie River (traditionally named Tthets’éhk’ehdélį, which means "water flowing over clay"), in the Dehcho region. The First Nation combines traditional values with progressive initiatives and recently completed an in-depth study on the impact of climate change on the health & wellness of the community. They are part of the Dehcho First Nations.

Deh Gáh Got'įę First Nation
The mission of the Deh Gah Got'ie' Dene First Nation Council is to support sustainable development and healthy families, based on Denesoline beliefs and traditions. They are based in the community of Fort Providence, in the Dehcho Region, with a current membership of 1080. They are part of the Dehcho First Nations.

The Dehcho First Nations unites several First Nations to work together and promote shared interests, develop health and prosperous communities and maintain their heritage. The Dehcho First Nations includes the following member communities:

Northwest Territory Métis Nation
The Northwest Territory Métis Nation (NTMN) represents the Indigenous Métis of the South Slave region. Their work includes the management of a Métis Cultural Institute, a Cree language program and Education and Training programs.

Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami
Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK) is an organization advocating for Inuit rights and interests nationally. Their work includes research, advocacy, public outreach and education on the issues affecting the Inuit population.

Inuvialuit Regional Corporation
The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation manages the affairs of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. They provide a variety of programs including Health and Wellness and Early Childhood programs. They also host an Inuvialuit Cultural Centre and manage cultural programs and research.

Gwich’in Social and Cultural Institute
The Gwich'in Social and Cultural Institute (GSCI) is a department of the Gwich'in Tribal Council. Their objective is to conduct research in the areas of culture, language and traditional knowledge so that knowledge would be recorded and available for future generations and the development of programs in the Gwich'in Settlement Area, which comprises the communities of Aklavik, Fort McPherson, Inuvik, and Tsiigehtchic.

Dedats’eetsaa | Tłı̨chǫ Research and Training Institute
Under the direction of the Chiefs Executive Council of the Tłı̨chǫ Government, the mandate of the Dedats’eetsaa: Tłı̨chǫ Research and Training Institute (TRTI)'s mission is to advance the study of Tłı̨chǫ lands, language, culture and way of life.
TRTI conducts, supports and promotes research in the Tłı̨chǫ region and uses knowledge generated by research for training, education and monitoring within a Tłı̨chǫ cultural framework.

Aurora College
Aurora College is a post-secondary institution connected through transfer agreements and partnerships to a wide network of technical schools, colleges and universities throughout Canada and the circumpolar world.
Aurora College offers a range of trades and apprenticeship training and certificate, diploma and degree programs, adult literacy and basic education and continuing education courses.

Aurora Research Institute
Aurora Research Institute (ARI) is the research division of Aurora College. Their mandate is to improve the quality of life for NWT residents by applying scientific, technological and indigenous knowledge to solve northern problems and advance social and economic goals.
They are responsible for scientific research licensing in the NWT in accordance with the NWT Scientists Act and have three research offices: the Western Arctic Research Centre and ARI headquarters in Inuvik, the South Slave Research Centre in Fort Smith, and the North Slave Research Centre in Yellowknife.
