The Turtle Island Journal of Indigenous Health (TIJIH) is about to launch its inaugural publication. The TIJIH was established in 2018 as a research publication that focuses partly on valuable knowledge outside many academic circles. In fact, cultural knowledge holders such as Indigenous Elders determine the appropriate use of content.

The TIJIH will foster discussion and collaboration within a community of practice that honours Indigenous ways of knowing and being. Main stakeholders represent academia, Cultural Knowledge Holders and broader society. It is a collaborative project run by an expanding network of graduate students and Indigenous Knowledge Holders across Canada.

A call for submissions went out earlier in 2020.
