Hotıì ts’eeda and the Aurora Research Institute (ARI) are inviting candidates to apply for Research CASH (CAPACITY, ACCESS, AND STRENGTH HERE). The workshop will be held in Inuvik on May 5-7, 2020. Research CASH is a grant writing workshop to guide participants through the development of a high quality, submission-ready research funding proposal to one of the Tri-Council agencies:
- Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)
- Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC)
- Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)
The purpose of the workshop is increase access to federal research funding programs for Northerners. Organizers are asking that participants apply with a research project idea in mind, which they can bring to the workshop and work through with mentors. However, not all participants need to be actual researchers. The workshop is open to people who are part of the NWT research community, such as community health program staff, Indigenous and regional government and co-management board staff, knowledge users, and other community partners that are commonly asked to partner on research initiatives.
