Hotıì ts'eeda was pleased to support Northern Mosaic Network's Trans+ Health Care Conference in June 2024. The two-day conference offered health-care providers the opportunity to learn about and gain skills in gender-affirming and transition-related care.
According to Northern Mosaic, two-spirit, non-binary and trans people who interact with the NWT health-care system can experience unique challenges and barriers, particularly when seeking gender-affirming or transition-related care. This conference aimed to increase the number of health-care providers who feel confident providing this type of care and generally increate knowledge about and accessibility of trans+ health care int the NWT.
