Since 2020, Hotıì ts'eeda has been pleased to financially support Indigenous counseling students enrolled in the Northern Indigenous Counselling (NIC) program. Each year, students are offered support that could go towards their tuition, books, living expenses, or anything that would support their academic success.
NIC is led by Roy and Jean Erasmus and a partnership between Dene Wellness Warriors and Rhodes Wellness College. The program is delivered online and in Yellowknife with the goal of helping Indigenous northerners become professional counselors.
