Lıdiì & Lethch’uh (tea and bannock) is a weekly gathering space for people to connect and share stories. It is run by the Inuvik Native Band.
The gatherings have attracted a wide range of attendees, including participants from the Gwich’in immersion program at the daycare, and Elders in Motion. The project lead Laska shared: “It has been heartwarming to witness the enthusiasm among the Elders when they hear us speaking in our language after teaching us. Their joy and pride in sharing their language and culture with us are truly heartwarming.”
Hotıì ts'eeda was pleased to support this program in its 2024 and 2025 seasons.
