Hotıì ts’eeda is offering post-secondary studentships of $5,000 to support students from the Northwest Territories. NWT students in certificate, diploma, bachelor’s degree, or master’s programs related to health, wellness, and Indigenous health research are welcome to apply. 

Up to ten Dǫ Denàowoò Nagıı̀tsıı studentships will be granted for the 2025-2026 academic year. Funds will be distributed in two installments—50% for the fall semester and 50% for the winter semester—upon receipt of proof of full-time enrollment. 

Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for this funding opportunity you must meet the following criteria:

  • Permanent resident of the Northwest Territories.
  • Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited post-secondary program (certificate, diploma, bachelor’s degree, or master’s) related to health, wellness, and/or Indigenous health research.
  • Priority will be given to Indigenous students from the NWT and those who demonstrate financial need.
  • Individuals may only receive one award from Hotıì ts’eeda per fiscal year.

A completed application will include the following documentation: 

  • Application Form
  • Letter of Intent
  • Proof of full-time enrollment in a current post-secondary program
  • Optional: Proof of Indigenous Affiliation
  • Optional: Proof of Financial Need
