Ełèts’ehdèe-Katimaqatigiit-Nihkhah Łatr’iljil

The Ełèts’ehdèe-Katimaqatigiit-Nihkhah Łatr’iljil (gathering in Tłı̨chǫ, Inuvialuit and Gwich'in, respectively) is Hotıì ts'eeda's annual gathering. The event is a space for partners, community members and researchers to meet and connect, learn about Hotıì ts'eeda and share information about health research in the NWT.

2021 Gathering

The 2021 Ełèts’ehdèe-Katimaqatigiit-Nihkhah Łatr’iljil was held virtually on September 28 and 29, 2021. The theme focused on the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) in the Northwest Territories. The event included plenary panels on UNDRIP and health topics, storytelling, and sharing about ongoing projects and issues in the NWT. It also included small learning spaces to connect with cultural knowledge holders and researchers across disciplines and regions.
