Amanda Chaulk was raised in Mississauga, Ontario. After her first visit to Inuvik in 2007 and multiple visits thereafter, she was finally able to call it home in 2016.
Amanda has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Acadia University and a Master of Science in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Manitoba. She began her career as a researcher investigating contaminants in the Arctic Ocean. Since then she has worked in research, contaminated site monitoring & remediation, and teaching within Aurora College’s Environment and Natural Resource Technology Program.
Her interests include promoting science education and opportunities for youth and making science more accessible. Amanda is committed to facilitating community-driven research and building capacity and training opportunities.
